Meet George Sainteus “The Business Connector”
George Sainteus is a bi-coastal serial entrepreneur, with business ventures in the New York and Houston markets. George’s background spans more than a decade with experience in non-profit organizations, retail, global financial services, and insurance. George has gained an esteemed reputation across the following industries curating some of the largest and most powerful events in New York, catering to the Urban Professional Mixer audience via his “The Upmixer” lifestyle brand. “The Upmixer” lifestyle brand has curated events that have convened influential leaders in business, government, education, media, tech, the arts, and health care while raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for multiple scholarships and community projects.
George has a passion to serve and has been afforded the opportunity to raise funds for community initiatives and assist other business owners through his philanthropic efforts. George currently serves as the Vice President of Administration for the Metro New York Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, Inc., where he oversees Strategic Partnerships, Lifestyle, and Special Projects. The National Black MBA Association, Inc. is a premier business organization providing Diversity & Inclusion across all arenas, Economic Empowerment for professionals and entrepreneurs, and education opportunities for undergraduate and graduate college students. In George’s capacity, he curates the chapter’s professional development workshops with Fortune 500 corporate partners, and manages local and national affinity group relationships, while serving as liaison to federal government agencies.
During the global COVID-19 pandemic, George immediately mobilized to support the community in which he serves. He first organized several community relief initiatives; including free meals to the community and healthcare workers in partnership with popular New York city-based restaurants Ponty Bistro and Renaissance Harlem. He later led a series of virtual discussions to educate the community in the wake of the pandemic through a virtual interview series he created called Community Conversations. He covered subjects such as the impact of COVID-19 on Small Business, Navigating the New Business Environment, and Estate Planning for Millennials. The discussions positioned George as a highly sought-after thought leader, leading the presentation for members of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Prospanica New York, and Brooklyn Small Business Development Center, to name a few.
George’s portfolio currently encompasses the following business ventures, SAINT Insurance Agency, SAINT Real Estate, and SAINT Travel. He has garnered a substantial amount of success inspiring him to want to share his secret to success in his forthcoming self-help book,” Lessons on Pivoting for Success”.
